Graphic Designer & Artist · New York City
I design with intention. My work is research-driven, built on the belief that good design asks questions before it answers them.
My design practice is rooted in a BA in Art History and Studio Art, which taught me historical analysis, research writing, and critical thinking. I took that analytical rigor into Pratt's MFA in Communication Design and built a practice around it.
I don't start with the visual. I start with context: who the audience is, what ideas are actually at stake, and what the work needs to accomplish. The aesthetics follow from that process, not the other way around.
A holistic consideration of each project's context informs the systems I build. A brand identity that scales, a patient portal built around inclusive design - the goal is the same: design that communicates clearly and holds up in the real world.
Independently or collaboratively, I work best where rigor and curiosity are equally valued. I take feedback seriously, communicate clearly across teams, and bring the same research-driven thinking to a quick turnaround as I do to a long-form project. The brief changes. The intention doesn't.
